The Gweilos were formed in 2007 to meet a need in the Macau community. It was felt that since hockey was a game that Canadians embraced and excelled at, it was natural that Canadians and other expatriates in Macau should have the opportunity to skate regularly together. Enjoying some excellent ice time at the Dome, or playing what amounts to a mini-game at Gei Geng, the weekly skates keep the rust off and are testament to how popular a game ice hockey can be.
